Down Deeper - inspiration from Jules Verne Google Logo

The boy wondered why the Captain came to the ocean. “Well boy, I've always had a passion for the ocean; all of the bright colors of the great coral and all of the life that no one has ever seen before and yet it’s like the whole world above us but hidden under a dark blanket of thick, heavy salt water,” said the Captain. I’ve never thought of the ocean like that, I have only thought of it as a big black pit with dangerous and creeping crawlers, ready to attack at any moment, like a rattlesnake ready to jump at its prey explained the boy.  The captain chuckled calmly and took it more as a joke than a serious statement. Oh no boy, in fact that is the complete opposite.  Cabin boy had a puzzled look on his face, he has never ever seen anything under the ocean and he never understood the beauty of the ocean just yet.
The old submarine started to descend to the bottom of the ocean as the cabin boy looked out the window to see the amazing ocean life that lay just under the surface of the crystal blue water. By Alex S.

  1. This is a wonderful post Alex. I loved how your writing described the curiousity of the boy. it captures my attention and lets me see it more as a recent event than a story. Well done.
